My name is Gianmarco Monfared and I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Materials Science and Engineering department at the University of California, Davis. I am currently working with NASA Glenn Research Center to investigate the creep properties of additively manufactured oxide dispersion strengthened (ODS) multi-principal element alloys. My research interest lies in fundamental, mechanistic studies of the tensile creep behavior of an ODS-NiCoCr alloy as a means to identify the underlying mechanisms that control deformation. I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering at California State University, Sacramento (CSUS). I have been a lecturer for the Mechanical Engineering Department at CSUS since 2015. During my time at CSUS, I have been responsible for teaching a variety of courses such as Analytical Mechanics - Dynamics, Project Engineering, Engineering Probability/Statistics, Engineering Economics, and Mechanical Properties of Materials.
