I have been working full-time as a Mechanical Reliability Engineer at the Valero Refinery in Benicia, California since 2014.  I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University. My current job duties include performing stress calculations on piping and pressure vessels to ensure the equipment has sufficient remaining thickness and is fit-for-service. I am a part-time Master of Engineering student in Materials Science and Engineering and will graduate in June 2020. I live with my wife and 2 children in Benicia, California, where they enjoy reading, photography, and playing Frisbee as a family.

Research Project: remaining life calculations and fracture growth rate for various forms of stress corrosion cracking as a function of temperature
