I have over 29 years of aerospace industry experience working as a Metallurgical Engineer. I have worked as a Design and Application Engineer at Honeywell Engines in Phoenix, AZ, a Plant Metallurgist at Timken Aerospace, and am currently employed full time as an Engineering Source Approval Engineer at Pratt and Whitney. I have been involved in the design of new products and parts to resolving manufacturing and field related issues. My expertise is in ferrous alloys and more specifically bearings and gears. I have a statistical and process control background.
My educational experience has been continuous throughout my professional career. I received a BS in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Arizona in 1986. I remained in college after my BS and received an MS in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Arizona in 1989. During my employment a Timken Aerospace I worked full time and received an MBA with an emphasis on Leadership from Franklin Pierce College in 1998. While at Pratt and Whitney I continued to work full time and received an MS in Managing Engineering and Technology in 2012. I am currently still working full time while pursuing my current Phd in Materials Science from UC Davis.
